It is about a guy missing his girl and realizing how much he needs her after all. The melody is beautiful, and the lyrics tell a great love story. "Burmese Pride" dedicated to Burmese Martyrs' Day (July 19, 2009) by Gersing (Aung Yin Cover) Length: 4.63 minutes | Average rating: 4.88 It's 5 AM and I finally finished editing the video. Burmese Martyrs' day is observed on July 19 to commemorate General Aung San (the country founder) and six other Independence leaders who were gun down on that day in 1947 around 10:37 AM General Aung San is the father of Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi ( www.dassk.org ) who is currently detained in Insein Prison. This video is a mini-pictohistory of Burma and I tried to match pieces of the history with the beats of the music. The name of the song "Zar Ti Man" means "Burmese Pride". This song is a upbeat, optimistic, toe-tapping and morale-boosting song, which is needed for all Burmese especially those living inside the country. Burma was the richest countries in Asia until the military seized the power in 1962. Under the ruling military junta, people suffer from hunger, poverty, malnutrition, lack of education and lack of proper health care whereas the junta families enjoy the wealth, elite education and world class health care. --- I will add the translation of the song later. I had a very busy month last month. I am doing fine, and thank you for all your email messages, and supports. This is a cover of a Burmese song, called "Sate". I recorded it maybe three months ago, and it has been sitting on my computer. "Sate" means Mind in English.. I will add full translation of the song as soon as I can. The clips you see in the video are the clips I took in the summer.
